Documents Store
 

RASS’s “Document Store” provides the functionalities to store and retrieve documents in SQL Server database. It’s user interface is similar to Windows Browser. You can use this tool for general purpose.  The main features of its functionalities are as follows.

 

  • Multiple Document Stores.
  • Each Store implemented on a separate database.
  • No limit on the number of Documents Stores
  • User Access to a store controlled by user’s Window login
  • Folders are organized hierarchically
  • Folders can be moved from one location to another location.
  • Changes to folders structure and changes to names of folders and files are updated immediately to SQL Server database
  • Uploading and downloading available at document level only

 

This tool can use SQL Server Express 2005 which is license free and allows upto 4GB of data per database. There is no restriction on the number of database per server instance.  Therefore, there is no additional cost to you. However, you’ll require MS Office’s Access to run this tool.
